Vegware supports foodservice sector during coronavirus outbreak

Compostable packaging specialist and BBIA member Vegware has offered its support to the foodservice sector during the coronavirus outbreak.

Vegware is still fully operational despite lockdowns across the world to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, with its full team working safely and remotely from home.

Its three international warehouses, in the UK, Europe and USA are delivering more than 350 products, including wrapped compostable cutlery and clear plant-based deli containers, to more than 70 countries throughout Europe, the Middle East and the Americas.

A spokesperson for Vegware said: “Vegware is really pleased to be supporting catering outlets that are nourishing local communities through takeaways and deliveries. Many restaurants and cafes are adapting to offer these new services, while schools and community organisations are becoming a much needed place to provide takeaway meals to their communities.

“Their dedicated account team can recommend products for customers switching to disposables for hygiene reasons or trying takeaway and delivery for the first time. With nearly 15 years of experience working with restaurants and QSRs, contract caterers, education, hospitals and care homes, pharmacies and detention centres, they can provide expert support and guidance on the right takeaway and delivery disposables for any environment.”
