The struggle over EPR and DRS systems has exploded into the public eye with Under Secretary of State Therese Coffey forced to declare that she welcomes industry participation in the EPR governing body. We await with bated breath to see whether Scotland will proceed with the implementation of its DRS scheme following the election of the new First Minister Humza Yousaf. Strong industry push back has received important support among Conservative MPs with the obviously poorly informed Penny Mordant saying that Scottish DRS to be worse for the UK economy than Brexit. I am speechless.
