Wilmbledon-based sandwich packaging supplier RAP has launched two plastic-free sandwich wedges.
Freshpak is a folding box carton, which RAP said has been made of ‘fully sustainable’ boards and cullulose film, both of which are certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC). AgriRap, meanwhile, is made from agriculture waste and cellulose film.
RAP said the new products featured lining film that was outside the scope of the government’s Plastic Regulations and classified as paper/board.
