The government has released updates on the progress of the 25 Year Environment Plan, alongside an update to the 25 Year Environment Plan Outcome Indicator Framework.
The 25 Year Environment Plan Progress Report provides details on the progress towards the aims and objectives laud out in the 2018 25 Year Environment Plan, and details what the next steps will be to achieving those aims.
The Outcome Indicator Framework draws together a comprehensive suite of measures for the state of the natural world, drawing on established data sets and identifying where new information is required and how this might best be obtained.
The 2020 update includes trend data for 38 of the indicators spread over 8 of the 10 themes in the framework. This includes statistics for 12 indicators newly reported on this year.
