The final programme for the Usable Packaging Stakeholders event on 9 November in Rimini, Italy has been announced.

The event will open at 10:00 am with an overview of the initial aims and objectives of the project, set out by José María Lagarón (CSIC-IATA).

It will close with a panel discussion on ‘End-users perspective: thoughts on circular economy strategy’ between 12:25 pm and 1:00 pm, which will be chaired by the BBIA’s David Newman.

The full programme and further information are attached below.

The Usable Packaging project was launched in June 2019 with the aim to reduce the use of environmentally harmful fossil-fuel-based packaging through the development of appropriate bio-alternatives. The project is aimed at the food, drink, pharmaceutical and clothing industries.

The project was worked on by over 25 partners representing businesses, universities, research centres, trade associations and other organisations from around Europe. It was led by Spain’s Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Cientificas (CSIC).
