BBIA Managing Director David Newman is to speak about opportunities in the bioeconomy at ‘Bridging the Gap’, the Irish national conference of Cré (the Composting & Anaerobic Digestion Association of Ireland), in September.
The one-day conference will be held at Killashee House Hotel in Naas, County Kildare, on Tuesday, 1 September and will address the challenge of ‘bridging the gap to collect 600,000 tonnes of brown bin material’ by looking at new policies and regulations, pay by weight schemes, and new ways to educate householders on using the organics bin and furthering opportunities in the bieconomy sector.
Newman will speak at 1.45pm on ‘Opportunities in the Circular Economy and the Bioeconomy’, pulling on his experience as President of The International Solid Waste Association and as Managing Director of the BBIA.
