Kathryn Sheridan, CEO of bioeconomy communications and PR agency Sustainability Consult, is to present a TEDx talk on bioplastics at the #bitsoflove event in Ghent, Belgium on 18 June.

Sheridan’s talk, ‘Bioplastic Fantastic: why we don’t need oil for plastics’, will make the case for leaving oil in the ground and showing how plastics and other materials can be made from plants and gases.

She will explain the state of the industry, the latest innovations and what brands and consumers can do to accelerate the Bio Revolution.

TEDx are independently organised TED events that follow the Technology, Entertainment, Design criteria. The TEDxGhent #bitsoflove event will cover a range of topics designed to deliver innovative ideas and thinking.

Tickets for the event, held at the Muziekcentrum De Bijloke, are still available (and can be purchased here), and a video of the presentation will be published following the event. We will bring you that as soon as it is available.
