BBIA will be attending the British Plastics Foundation’s (BPF) Bio-Based Polymer Interest Group ‘Bioplastics Roundtable Discussion: End of Life Opportunities’, on 15 October at the BPF’s offices in London.

The invite-only event will be attended by representatives of: plastics manufacturers, the plastics packaging industry, the plastics recycling industry, the waste management industry, the composting industry and also customers and brands that currently use plastics or bioplastics.

Themes for the discussion will include a perspective from each of the aforementioned industries, as well as discussions about the possibilities for bioplastics at end of life (i.e. recycling and/or energy from waste) and the products’ potential impact on various industry sectors.

Chairman Andy Sweetman will be among the speakers at the event, giving a rigid and flexible packaging perspective of the issues.
