The chemical global market of Plant Protection Products has been estimated in 2016 to reach $55 billion though these global bioprotection products represents only 10 per cent of the market. Microorganisms (bacteria, fungi, nematodes, viruses) or their products, can be used for eliminating or reducing the damages or losses due to pests on plants. Microorganisms can be used in an integrated pest management program during the culture cycle, and even after harvest. Plant microbial biostimulants (eg Rhizobacteria or Fungi and their products) stimulate natural processes of plants benefiting nutrients use efficiency and/or tolerance to abiotic stress. Microbial bioremediation is used to break down hazardous substances into less toxic or nontoxic substances from wastes using the bioaugmentation of microbes acting in sequence.
