This conference aims to provide international major players from the bio-based building blocks, polymers and industrial biotechnology industries with an opportunity to present and discuss their latest developments and strategies. Representatives of political bodies and associations will also have their say alongside leading companies.
The 9th International Conference on Bio-based Materials builds on successful previous conferences. 250 participants and 30 exhibitors mainly from industry are expected.
The whole value chain of the polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHA) platform will be showcased in a session on 6 April: Polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHA). With seven presentations about PHA, the conference provides a comprehensive overview of this interesting and exciting biodegradable polymer. The session includes speakers from the following companies: Jan Ravenstijn Consulting (NL), Bioplastech Ltd. (IE), Kaneka Corporation (BE/JP), GFBiochemicals Ltd. (NL) and Metabolix, Inc. (US). In addition, leading scientists from AIMPLAS (ES) and University of Natural resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (AT) will give a speech.
