ISBP is a congress series on biopolymers that has been held every two years since the initial meeting in Toronto 1988.
The 15th edition of ISBP is organised by the Spanish Society of Biotechnology (SEBIOT) in collaboration with the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC). The traditional spotlight of ISBP has been on biopolymers like polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHA), cellulose and rubber.
ISBP2016 will also extend the focus to other bio-based polymers like PLA, BioPET and others, including talks on the biotechnological production of building blocks to generate bio-based polymers (biodegradable and non-biodegradable). ISBP2016 will be especially interested in connecting cutting edge technologies like Systems Biology and Synthetic Biology to the biopolymer and bio-based polymer field.
ISBP2016 will take place in the Hotel Rafael Atocha, Mendez Alvaro, 30, located in the center of Madrid, at walking distance of the main train station Atocha and directly connected to the airport.
ISBP encourages renowned and junior researchers to contribute to the programme of the symposium and submit abstracts for oral or poster presentations on their current research work and results.
