DEFRA has communicated that all companies must now be ready for EPR reporting. The Packaging Waste (Data Reporting) (England) Regulations 2023 came into force in England, Northern Ireland and Scotland on 28 February 2023. Similar reporting requirements will come into force for businesses headquartered in Wales in March 2023. We will confirm this date as soon as possible. From that day, businesses affected by EPR for packaging must start to record data on the packaging they place on the UK market.
